Responsibilities Full-time, Location: Malaysia, Johor Founded in 2012, ByteDance\'s mission is to inspire creativity and enrich life. The Datacenter Infrastructure Engineering team supports the company\'s fast growth by building and operating hyperscale datacenters. The team manages the end to end lifecycle of server fleet, providing cloud solutions and various infrastructure services ensuring that they are scalable and are reliable. Responsibilities - Manage the lifecycle of data center(s) with a team of technicians. - Use processes like change management and disaster recovery plans to manage data center availability risk(s). On the backend, there will be multiple remote teams and subject matter experts to assist and help him to address complex issues. - Manage a team of Data Center Technicians to attend to Server Hardware / Software Break fixes - Work within a ticketing system to support server fleet repairs - Prioritize ticketing queues and work to resolve escalations. - Assist in projects such as adding new capacity and working on retrofits within the Datacenter. - Collaborate closely with various internal teams and external partners. - Assist with inventory and asset management. Qualifications - Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent professional experience/certification in Engineering or facility management. - Data Center Facility experience or working knowledge and experience in at least one of the following core areas: Networking, Scripting, and Hardware Repair. - At least three years of experience in managing data center facilities, supporting IT equipment or related technology. - Good communication skills and a willingness to learn new server technologies - Passionate about Cloud Data Centers work and and maintaining server fleets Preferred Qualifications - A subject matter expert in either Electrical, Mechanical or Controls related to data centers - Experience on direct-on chip cooling and immersion cooling on IT rack - Basic working knowledge of Linux and server hardware repairs
