What we expect from you as our Demi Chef? On a daily basis, you will be required to assist the Chef in keeping the kitchen running smoothly. This includes maintaining the order and CLEANLINESS of the kitchen, keeping to all your tasks and learning new menu items and techniques, and to assist in regular stock checks and inventory. In many cases, you are responsible to self manage your station and keep discipline in the kitchen, making recommendations and giving reports to the Chef. As a Demi Chef, you have responsibilities to the restaurant and to yourself - you need to be constantly upgrading your skills so that you can step into the position of a Sous Chef when the time is right. As a Demi Chef, you should know how to cook every single item on the menu once you\'ve been trained on it. You must also be able to step in and replace anyone cooking on the line in case of an emergency and be able to step into the other positions when the situation calls for it. You will be given the experience of working every single station in the kitchen, and you will need to be organized and familiar with regular kitchen operational requirements. As a Demi Chef, you will often be required to expedite your tasks during service and you are to ensure that every menu item prepared and cooked keeps to the high standards of the kitchen.
