Requirements

• Possess a Secondary/SPM/'O' Level certificate or equivalent.
• No prior experience required; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for this entry-level Dental Nurse position.
• Demonstrate strong patient care skills, ensuring a comfortable and supportive environment for all patients.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia to effectively interact with patients and the dental team.
• Ability to assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, adhering to strict hygiene and infection control protocols.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new dental techniques and technologies.
• Must be able to work full-time at our Melaka City clinic location.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the dental operatory for patient treatment by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment and materials are readily available.
• Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, such as fillings, extractions, and root canals, by passing instruments, providing suction, and ensuring patient comfort.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes, using electronic dental record systems.
• Provide chair-side assistance to the dentist, anticipating their needs and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow during dental procedures.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and the use of fluoride, to promote preventive dental care.
• Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for patients and staff.
• Manage inventory of dental supplies and materials, ensuring adequate stock levels and ordering supplies as needed to avoid shortages.
• Communicate effectively with patients, addressing their concerns, answering questions, and providing reassurance to create a positive and comfortable dental experience.
