Requirements

• Possess a minimum of Secondary/SPM/'O' Level certification.
• Open to fresh graduates and entry-level candidates seeking to begin a career in dental healthcare.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin to effectively communicate with a diverse patient base.
• Willingness to learn and assist in various aspects of dental surgery, including patient care, treatment planning, and surgical procedures.
• Ability to provide excellent patient care and maintain a comfortable environment for patients undergoing dental treatments.
• Assist in oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, ensuring adherence to medical diagnosis and treatment plans under the supervision of senior dental staff.
• Commitment to working full-time at our onsite location in Johor Bahru, contributing to our team's mission of making a difference in the community.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures, including restorative, surgical, endodontic, and prosthetic treatments, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for patients and the dental team.
• Provide chair-side assistance to dentists, anticipating their needs and handing them the necessary instruments, materials, and equipment during procedures.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) as instructed by the dentist, following safety guidelines and ensuring proper positioning and exposure techniques.
• Prepare patients for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping them, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns or anxieties.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting treatment plans, procedures performed, and any relevant observations or instructions given to patients.
• Provide patients with post-operative instructions and oral hygiene advice, educating them on proper oral care techniques and answering any questions they may have.
• Manage inventory of dental supplies and materials, ensuring adequate stock levels and ordering supplies as needed to avoid shortages.
• Assist in laboratory work, such as pouring and trimming dental models, fabricating custom trays, and preparing materials for dental prostheses.
• Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols, including proper handling and disposal of biohazardous waste, to maintain a safe and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
