A rapidly expanding financial institution is looking for a talented candidate for an Deposit Operation Services (DOS) job in Kuala Lumpur. You will assist the Sub-Section Head in supervising the day-to-day operations from branches and ensure the department runs efficiently and smoothly.

About the Deposit Operation Services (DOS) Role:
In this business critical role, you will ensure all transactions are processed accurately and timely in full compliance with customer\'s instructions. You will also need to assist the Sub-Section Head in supervising the day-to-day operations from branches and ensuring the department runs efficiently and smoothly and in compliance to the Service Level Agreement and Operation Procedure established with individual branches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle remittance and deposit transactions and cover global payments such as outward and inward SWIFT payments, cross-border pooling a local payments such as IBG, RENTAS, direct debit and cheque transactions. Knowledge in deposits is a plus point
  • Authorised to verify operational actions that have been performed in accordance with the designated operation procedures, by verifying the details of transaction application forms and transaction data entered into the system
  • Timely reporting of potential/actual breaches to the respective departments and branches
  • Authorised to approve the acceptance and execution of transactions requested by a customer or the actions to be taken for processing the transactions
To succeed in the Deposit Operation Services (DOS) job, you will need to have the required knowledge as well as the experience of leading a team.

Key Requirements:
  • Must have at least three years\' relevant experience in banking operations
  • Basic knowledge in statutory requirements and/or related rules
  • Specialisation in banking/financial services or shared service centres or equivalent is preferred
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in leading a team
