ROLE PROFILE

JOB TITLE: Finance Design Authority

FUNCTION: Digital Business Solutions (IDT)

SUB FUNCTION: Global Application Services (GAS)

CITY & COUNTRY: Selangor, Malaysia

ROLE SUMMARY

What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?

In this role, you will be responsible to work with various teams and partners of BAT to ensure SAP Finance applications including, but not limited to ECC, S4 Central Finance, BPC, Treasury and Cash Management are deployed and maintained effectively.

What is the direct impact of this role on the team or organization?

The role is responsible to provide functional and technical expertise to handle the overall integrity and stability of selected applications within a major functional area (e.g. ERP, Marketing, Corporate Services). This encompasses the support to development of new and improved service capabilities which will enable BAT\'s business functions to move to global operating models.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Maintaining and leading all aspects of governance for the in scope solutions according to BAT standards and processes, as well as industry best practices.
  • Functional and Technical gatekeeper to Productive systems.
  • Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) in GAS Function, that will drive, participate and represent GAS in various initiatives or functional/technical discussions across different functions and business units in BAT.
  • Evaluate business risks and issues related to operational incidents, potential impact from changes, and internal audit reports. Implement appropriate risk management processes and take appropriate and timely actions.
  • Participate and contribute in crisis management on high severity incidents, and drive resolution of IT service and/or business issues using agreed escalation routes.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Department Heads, Process Owners, Platform owners, and Partners.
  • Plans and handles own work to deliver agreed objectives and outputs.
  • Highly adaptable to volatile working dynamics and therefore, able to organize well with varying priorities.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

ESSENTIAL

Experience Required
  • 8+ years post graduate work experience in an IT environment
  • 6+ years\' experience in SAP Finance modules, components or applications
  • Minimum 2 end-to-end implementation project life cycle.
  • Experience in support organization for SAP systems.
  • Managing large external partner teams in end-to-end application service management.
  • Experience in large global organisation using in-sourced and out-sourced IT services and a good working knowledge of the management of global applications services in a complex matrix environment.
  • Leads and Influences others regarding policies, practices, and procedure
  • Has a growth mindset, stays up to date with technology and displays continuous self-development.
  • Good communication and stakeholder engagement and management skills.
  • Possess problem solving skills and flexible in performing tasks based on business requirements.
Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required
  • SAP Finance solutions, including but not limited to ECC modules, S4 Simplified Finance, CFin, BPC, Treasury and Cash Management
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Certifications in SAP Finance modules and ITIL professional examinations is beneficial
BENEFICIAL
  • Practical knowledge of Agile and DevOps
  • Experience working in, and good understanding of SOX controls and how it applies within IT
  • Knowledge of General Accounting, IBPM and USGAAP.
