Job Description

Assist in preparing design drawings and documentation using computer-aided design (CAD) software or manual drafting, under the supervision and guidance of the Design Engineer/Design Manager. Support in checking and validating design details to ensure compliance with relevant design codes, standards, and local bylaws. Participate in internal meetings and attend project site visits when required to gain exposure and understanding of project requirements. Seek technical advice, clarification, and approval from the Design Engineer/Design Manager before submitting information or responding to clients. Adhere strictly to company confidentiality rules; no documents or drawings (hardcopy or softcopy) may be taken out of the Design Office without prior approval. Assist in carrying out additional duties assigned by the Design Engineer/Design Manager or Management as part of learning and career development. Support the consideration of recyclable elements, reusable standard components, and low-toxicity materials in design where applicable. Assist in conducting Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Determining Controls (HIRADC) as part of safety compliance. Assist in conducting Environmental Aspect and Impact (EAI) assessments and prepare related documentation. Participate in vigilance inspections to identify unsafe acts or unsafe conditions and assist in implementing corrective actions and close-out activities. Support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 procedures.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. 1-2 years of working experience in design, drafting, or engineering-related fields Basic knowledge of engineering principles, design concepts, and construction processes. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit, or similar). Familiarity with engineering design codes, standards, and local bylaws is an advantage (training will be provided). Basic understanding of HIRADC, EAI, and ISO standards is preferred but not mandatory. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Positive attitude and proactive problem-solving mindset. Willing to attend site visits when required. Able to handle confidential information responsibly. Must be able to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks with guidance.
