Job Description

We're seeking a proactive and skilled Design Engineer to support our Asia regional team in delivering high-quality design and engineering solutions using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. This role plays a crucial part in supporting fabrication, upgrades, and design standardization efforts while ensuring secure data management and compliance with engineering standards and quality practices.
Work closely with engineering, production, and project teams to support end-to-end execution of regional projects.
Prepare and convert technical concepts into complete 2D/3D CAD and SolidWorks designs for review and implementation.
Ensure that all design outputs align with internal safety, quality, and compliance frameworks, as well as relevant regional standards.
Promote component standardization to enhance design efficiency and reduce stock complexity across projects.
Integrate design principles that accommodate functional performance, process optimization, and accessibility for maintenance.
Lead design presentations during technical meetings and incorporate feedback to support continuous enhancement of deliverables.
Maintain accurate records of engineering data and ensure systematic management of design files in a secured environment.
Drive improvements in documentation practices by standardizing templates and processes to support consistency and accuracy.
Enforce controlled access and approval protocols for sharing and distributing design information, in line with IP protection policies.
Plan and oversee engineering schedules and project activities to ensure milestones and deadlines are met with high quality.
Track project status and keep stakeholders informed through regular reporting and updates.
Support the creation of technical manuals, operation guides, and troubleshooting documents to aid in deployment and usage.
Conduct checks and audits on fabrication progress and manage certification tracking with internal teams and external partners.
Continuously explore and recommend new technologies or methods that improve the effectiveness and quality of engineering practices.

Proven experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks design tools.
Strong background in technical drawing, fabrication support, and engineering document control.
Excellent project coordination and time management abilities.
High attention to detail and familiarity with standards governing safety, engineering, and compliance.
Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and functions.
Experience with quality management systems and process improvement is a plus.
