Job description Design Development: Generate creative design ideas and concepts using hand sketches or computer-aided design software. Produce detailed technical specifications for designs, ensuring accurate measurements and desired outcomes. Prototyping and Product Development: Collaborate with the design team to create prototypes that align with project briefs. Work closely with sales, buying, and production teams to ensure products meet customer preferences, market trends, and pricing considerations.. Assist in fittings and provide fit comments during the proto-development phase to ensure product excellence. Generate and maintain comprehensive development sample notes and approval records for all assigned products. Actively manage development tracking tools, offering real-time updates on garment, trim, and fabric statuses. Manufacturing Coordination and Supplier Relations: Negotiate with suppliers to secure materials and components at optimal terms. Work directly with local factories/workshops to craft prototypes, samples and stocks. Coordinate with outsourced partners to ensure accurate measurements and desired outcomes. Quality Control and Packaging : Assist in the production of packaging materials and quality control (QC) processes. In-charge of proper packaging for any order or deliveries, ensuring goods passed QC guidelines. Ensure adherence to packaging guidelines by vendors, maintaining labeling standards. Communication and Coordination: Fully in charge for liaison with suppliers to ensure materials and order quality meet the QC guideline, and in a timely manner. Communicate regularly with agents and factories through written and verbal channels for sampling and production needs. Inventory Management: Maintain records of garment stocks inventory, including linesheet and coding. Manage status of all samples and archives inventory. Compensation: Salary range Rm2,200 to Rm3,000 Additional Support: Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by management.
