United Vehicles Industries Sdn. Bhd. is looking for a committed and skilled

Designer Technician

to support our Engineering Department in tooling design, jig fabrication, production support, and brazing-related activities.

This role is suitable for candidates with technical background who are hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to assist in design and fabrication work.

Key Responsibilities

Provide

basic tooling knowledge support

to engineering and production teams. Implement and maintain

5S improvements

within the engineering and tooling areas. Conduct

worker training

, support production trials, and monitor daily production activities. Perform

tubing adjustment/tuning

according to drawing specifications. Carry out

minor repairs

on machines, CF (inspection jigs), and brazing tooling. Monitor and record

preventive maintenance data

for equipment and tooling. Assist in preparing

CF concepts, jig concepts, and simple component designs

, including producing technical drawings.

Fabricate jigs and tooling

based on approved drawings. Conduct

annual preventive maintenance

for manual jigs. Perform

simulation studies

and fabricate

delivery rack samples

based on customer requirements. Prepare

process flows and SOPs

for new and existing brazing models. Monitor and maintain

safety stock

for all brazing tooling. Support and perform

machining work

for tooling modification and improvement. Attend

joint checks, meetings, and customer visits

when required. Handle

engineering documentation

, including filing, recording, and typing. Prepare

handover documents

for brazing tooling and related engineering tasks.

Requirements

Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Tool & Die, or related field. Experience in jig & fixture fabrication, machining, or production support is an added advantage. Able to read and understand

technical drawings

. Basic skills in CAD software (AutoCAD/SolidWorks) is an advantage. Hands-on, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision. Good communication and teamwork skills.
