Role description

Role Proficiency:



Independently develops error free code with high quality validation of applications guides other developers and assists Lead 1 - Software Engineering


Outcomes:



Understand and provide input to the application/feature/component designs; developing the same in accordance with user stories/requirements.

Code debug test document and communicate product/component/features at development stages.

Select appropriate technical options for development such as reusing improving or reconfiguration of existing components.

Optimise efficiency cost and quality by identifying opportunities for automation/process improvements and agile delivery models

Mentor Developer 1 - Software Engineering and Developer 2 - Software Engineering to effectively perform in their roles

Identify the problem patterns and improve the technical design of the application/system

Proactively identify issues/defects/flaws in module/requirement implementation

Assists Lead 1 - Software Engineering on Technical design. Review activities and begin demonstrating Lead 1 capabilities in making technical decisions

Product/Platform Engineer (L2 /L3 level) We are looking for engineers who will be responsible to support design-in technical issues for post-launch Intel products (CPU). In this role, you will be acting as a platform technical expert to support customers, resolving customer questions, triage and debug customers issues and will be working closing with the other product support engineers. Requirements o Has computer architecture knowledge and understanding of Intel Architecture-based CPU and chipsets o Has knowledge of digital design, transmission lines, micro-controller based designs, power electronics areas o Has knowledge on signal integrity and power delivery of IA platform and experience with signal integrity simulation tools / power integrity tools o Understanding schematics / layouts of electrical circuits & reviewing skill o Strong hardware debug capability & troubleshooting o Demonstrated strength with lab equipment including, but not limited to oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and etc. o Software experience in various areas (BIOS, firmware, graphics, driver, middleware and application level) with debugging skills on embedded Linux or other real time operating systems (Microsoft Operating Systems - Windows 7/8.x/10, Windows Embedded, etc.) o Knowledge of standard embedded systems buses/wired connectivity and protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, PCIE,GPIO). o Good knowledge of Windows OS and varied Linux distributions environment Qualifications o Bachelor in Electrical / Electronic / Computer Engineering or equivalent with 6 - 12 years of relevant experience o Analytical and strong problem solving skills, and ability to drive issues to closure are essential o Strong verbal and written communication skills and fluency across English and Mandarin (required to support Taiwan & PRC customers)
