We are excited to open a brand-new chapter on our journey with the establishment of the Kuala Lumpur EA FIFA Mobile Team which will become an integral part of the global EA FIFA Mobile development team. We are looking for a Development Director for our FIFA Mobile team in Kuala Lumpur. You will manage a variety of disciplines including artists, designers, software engineers, QA, and other production staff. You are the keepers of the project schedule and play an important role in successfully moving the development team from one project phase to the next while ensuring a focus on quality, collaboration and communication. You will become a key point contact of FIFA mobile team in Kuala Lumpur, for both internal and external. You will partner with live producers and leads in different territories to ensure the project is managed on time, to quality and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish the overall project development structure and guide the project team to proceed.
  • Build up and maintain the project roadmap/schedule with estimation of the scope of work.
  • Determine the resource plan to meet the product requirements.
  • Implement and monitor the cycle of each development process, support team as needed.
  • Produce milestone report and ensure the deliverables on time and on quality.
  • Manage budget for procurement, travel and outsourcing.
  • Identify and mitigate risks during the whole project cycle.
  • Communicating to project stakeholders including oversea partners on status update, resources, schedule, dependencies, risks and processes.
  • Manage project teams to develop and execution.
  • Organize team roles and evaluating team performance with function leads.
  • Assist with new employee onboarding and training program.
  • Ensures adequate equipment, tools and support are provided for team members.
  • Enhances personal understanding of the production process and actively offers input.
  • Provides input for departmental planning (i.e. resource planning, cost estimates etc)
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • 4 years Project Management experience
  • 3 years of leadership experience (line management).
  • Experiences on managing projects in SCRUM.
  • Strong negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Effective communication skills across all levels and organizations.
  • Educational background: Bachelors. The ideal candidate should include a Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • PMP Certification an asset.
  • Strong English communication skills - both verbally and written.
  • Chinese Mandarin proficiency will be a big plus.
