The Role

We're looking for a

Dev-Focused QA Engineer

who's as comfortable reviewing automated test coverage as they are diving into exploratory testing. In this role, you'll be part detective, part builder:

Detective

-- uncovering hidden bugs, edge cases, and potential pitfalls before they impact our customers.

Builder

-- creating internal tools, automations, and dashboards that make our team more efficient and our product more reliable.
This is not your standard QA position--you'll have the opportunity to work closely with developers, product managers, and tech leaders to shape our QA process, improve our release quality, and reduce "firefighting" in the long run.

What You'll Do

Quality Assurance & Testing

Review and validate automated test coverage implemented by developers. Execute manual tests for exploratory, edge-case, and regression scenarios. Identify, document, and track software defects with clear, reproducible steps. Collaborate closely with developers to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria. Maintain and enhance existing test suites to ensure they remain effective and relevant. Perform regression testing before every release cycle. Ensure QA processes are consistently applied across all projects.

Inward-Facing Development

Build and maintain internal tools (e.g., admin panel enhancements, Lark workflow automations). Develop utilities and dashboards that improve team efficiency and product quality. Create scripts and automations to streamline repetitive tasks and assist with monitoring/debugging. Partner with Product Managers to prepare accurate help documentation and release notes. Support versioning processes and ensure smooth, well-communicated releases. Work with the technical team to identify and implement process improvements that accelerate development cycles.

What We're Looking For

Experience

in QA testing (manual + automated), ideally in a SaaS or startup environment. Solid understanding of software development and testing principles. Comfort with both

hands-on testing

and

light development

(e.g., scripts, internal tools). Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think beyond "happy path" scenarios. Excellent communication skills--you can explain issues clearly and collaborate effectively. A growth mindset--ready to learn new tools, adapt quickly, and experiment.
