Job Description

The role will be responsible for consulting with management on the operational requirements of software solutions. Contributing expertise on software solution options, risk and operational impact to the business, the role works closely with the development teams to automate and accelerate testing, release and the deployment of applications in a run environment. Implementing automation tools and frameworks for automatic code deployment (CI/CD) Investigating and resolving technical issues including but not limited to pipeline issues Analyse current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them Configuring and deploying the necessary resources and integrated cloud environments Translates loosely defined requirements into solutions Creating necessary documentation relating to work produced Working within an Agile Development Team, Scrum framework Working closely with Development Manager, Team Leaders, Principal Developers and Senior Software Engineers to build well architected Cloud hosted solutions Working collaboratively with Product Managers, Technical Product Owners, Design Engineers, Development Engineers (Front End), Test Engineers, and Infrastructure Engineers to ensure features are delivered to a high standard Working across the Software Development Lifecycle ensuring that our products are delivered to a published roadmap within planned release cycles Contributing towards the defining and developing a Sprint backlog to achieve the goals set out by our Product team Managing infrastructure cost by making sure the resources are used efficiently. Providing unit tests to support and validate for any development work undertaken Contributing to the Development Team\'s working practices and technology decisions To be considered for this position, you must have: At least 1-3 years\' hands on development experience on DevOps and open-source technologies Prior experience as a DevOps engineer or similar job role Solid understanding of DevOps principles and practices Working knowledge of CI/CD workflow specifically Jenkins and Maven Knowledge of cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure Proficient in Jenkins pipeline and groovy scripts Familiarity with software release management and deployment Intermediate knowledge in software design and application Has experience in Liquibase implementation and deployment using Liquibase Has exposure to authentication will be a plus Working knowledge of using Git as software version control Working knowledge of cloud resources configurations (AWS) Has exposure in Docker containers, Kubernetes, Istio and Helm Experience in planning and implementing code analyser and coverage automation Experience in Microservices architecture Behavioral Ambitious - Drive, Planning & Execution Adventurous - Flexibility & Resilience and Savvy Thinking Community - Collaboration & Communication
