Position Description: Scope of work Handles support incidents from users pertaining to applications that are supported for this role. Expertise in troubleshooting combined with solid understanding of the application landscape is a key success factor. Your future duties and responsibilities: This role requires configuration of the application, diagnosis of application faults and solving technical/applications problems, either via the phone or email communication. The responsibilities include but not limited to, are as follows: . Comply with security policies of the company and of client . Adhere to appropriate standards, procedures and guidelines . Ensure incidents/requests are handled within the defined SLA This is a 24x7 service provision and candidate is expected to work on-call standby (rotational basis) and/or shift. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Requirements Degree in IT/Computer or any relevant discipline. 3-5 years DevOps working experience with business application support. Experience in supporting Cards, Payment and loyalty solutions would be advantageous. Experience with mission critical transaction systems would be ideal. Knowing COBOL programming is a plus. Must be able to work on shift and/or on-call standby. Good command over English (written and spoken). Technical Skills Understanding of COBOL. HP NonStop Operating System (Tandem). T-SQL knowledge (queries, basic SQL statements). Understanding/overview of development, testing and deployment life cycle. Understanding/overview of ITIL processes. Understanding/overview of system continuity concepts for mission critical systems. Understanding/overview of interfaces. Additional Skills Self-starter and independent with good work ethics. Highly motivated team player and always eager to learn. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Committed to service delivery, demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, reliability and adaptability to irregular working pattern.
