As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, deployment, and management of cloud-based solutions, utilizing a range of cutting-edge technologies. Your expertise will span Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, configuration management, cloud platforms, scripting, automation, security, network architecture, and database management. Your responsibilities will include implementing best practices, optimizing resources for performance and cost-effectiveness, and ensuring the reliability and security of distributed environments. The role demands a continuous focus on automation and innovation to streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency. Key Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Infrastructure as Code (IaC): o Utilize Terraform/Cloud Formation for provisioning and managing infrastructure. o Implement and maintain infrastructure as code practices for scalable and reproducible environments. \xc2\xb7 Containerization and Orchestration: o Manage Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters for scalable and reliable application deployment. o Implement and maintain container orchestration solutions for microservices architecture. \xc2\xb7 Configuration Management: o Use Ansible for configuration management to automate system provisioning and configuration tasks. o Ensure consistency and reliability across various environments through effective configuration management. \xc2\xb7 Cloud Platform Expertise: o Leverage strong AWS knowledge to design, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions. o Optimize and fine-tune AWS resources for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. \xc2\xb7 Scripting and Automation: o Develop and maintain scripts in Shell, Python, or Ruby to automate routine tasks and streamline operations. o Continuously seek opportunities for automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. \xc2\xb7 Security and Compliance: o Implement and enforce security best practices in cloud environments. o Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and implement OS hardening measures. \xc2\xb7 Network and Cloud Security: o Demonstrate expertise in network topology and implement cloud security measures. o Collaborate with security teams to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data in cloud environments. \xc2\xb7 Database Management: o Manage and optimize databases, including RDS (MySQL & PostgreSQL), DocumentDB, and Kafka. o Ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of database systems in a distributed environment. \xc2\xb7 Monitoring and Optimization: o Implement monitoring solutions to track server performance and application health. o Identify opportunities for infrastructure cost optimization without compromising performance. Qualifications & Skills: \xc2\xb7 Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent. \xc2\xb7 Proven track record with at least 5 years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer, demonstrating a deep understanding of the field. \xc2\xb7 AWS Expertise: Strong proficiency and hands-on experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is essential for success in this role. \xc2\xb7 Strong knowledge of IT application, networking, and cybersecurity. \xc2\xb7 CI/CD and Jenkins: Demonstrated experience with DevOps CI/CD processes and familiarity with Jenkins pipeline for automation.
