Job Description

:

Plans, directs and coordinates activities of the Dietetic Services, to provide effective dietary services for all patients. Establishes long and short term objectives for the department which are consistent with the goals of the centre and interprets the needs of the department to the Administrator. Develops inventory control systems within the department to ensure effective ways of receiving and storing goods. Liaise with Vendors of formula products for patients with regards to usage, recommendation etc. Reviews the formulary and establishes a list of formulary which is reviewed regularly. Consults and cooperates with Medical Doctor's, nurses and others regarding all phases of normal nutrition, diet therapy and enteral nutrition of the patients. Records dietary and nutritional assessment in patients' medical records in accordance with policy. Interviews / calls, assists and instructs patients and their families related to the purpose and content of prescribed diets.

Job Requirements:

Degree in Dietetics. Ability to conduct counseling sessions independently. Assess nutritional status and prescribe appropriate therapeutic diets. Develop enteral tube feeds and ability to plan for parenteral feeding. Good communication and teaching skills. Minimum 1-3 years experience as a qualified hospital dietician with a minimum of two years as a Dietitian.

Pay: RM3,800.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
