This role has been designated as \xe2\x80\x98\xe2\x80\x99Onsite\xe2\x80\x99 with an expectation that you will primarily work from an HPE partner/customer office.

The Network Application and Video Solutions portfolio includes a number of products that have a large installed base in today\xe2\x80\x99s networks, but which will also be highly relevant to the CSPs as they transition to 5G. The core products are HPE OCMP MRF (Media Resource Function) and HPE TAS (Telecom Application Server). Both are VoLTE/IMS compliant and cloud ready open platforms that enable a large variety of applications such as call control, messaging, charging, interactive multimedia and signaling control. We are looking for a Solution architect who will join as Network Applications Solution Architect the global Pre-Sales team participating and contributing to achieve business growth by architecting effective solutions that address our customer\xe2\x80\x99s business problems, needs and opportunities. Job Responsibilities The Solution architect will work together with Sales, Product managers, and Delivery with the following responsibilities:

• Act as design authority signing-off the proposed solution;
• Architect reusable solutions based on HPE TAS and HPE OCMP MRF.
• Contribute to internal and external solution architecture and design workshops.
• Capture and share architectural IP.
• Influence the use of the Network Application reference architecture in key customer projects.
• Identify and address technical or operational risks in key customer projects.
• Develop and deliver technical solution presentations and documentation.
• Deliver technical product presentations.
• Develop, run and support cloud based, and local, solution and product demos.
• Assist Product managers in answering technical pre-sales questions, responding to requests for customer commitments and writing detailed documentation responses to RFP and RFI.

Education and Experience Required

• Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or related field of study. Advanced degree in computer science or engineering preferred.
• 8+ years of work experience in related areas of the communications industry, software development and solution architecture and design.
• Experience from developing solutions for TAS and MRF. Experience developing for HPE TAS and/or HPE OCMP MRF preferred.

Knowledge and Skills Required

• Extensive experience with multiple software systems design tools and languages. In particular Java, J2EE, REST API\xe2\x80\x99s, JSP, Servlets, Linux/RHEL.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experience in architecting communication solutions and software.
• Designing and integrating software systems running on multiple platform types into overall architecture.
• Understanding of solution architect methodologies, preferably through past experience.
• Deep knowledge of Industry\xe2\x80\x99s technology, business standards, best practices and how to apply them appropriately in solutions. In particular SIP, Diameter, HTTP/2, VoiceXML, CCXML, MSML, MSCML.
• Deep technical understanding and knowledge of Telecom networks in general including 5G and Cloud native technologies (virtualized and containerized), and specifically in Value Added Services and enabling platforms
• Able to design solutions for scalability and availability.
• Demonstrates excellent consultative, solution selling skills
• Ability to drive efficient educative information sharing
• Ability to deliver efficient product and solution trainings to internal and external audiences
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior management levels.
