Job Purpose *
Lead the Enterprise Application Delivery (EAD) team and manage the application solution delivery from functional specifications, software delivery and project implementation including post production transition to IT application support in the most efficient and effective manner.
Key Responsibilities *
1. Act as a single point of contact for senior stakeholders and influencer on all technology matters relating to Wealth/Collection/Telephony systems (8 Applications) and related ecosystems.
2. Pro-actively identify and address business challenges through recommendation and initiation of IT solutions and delivery.
3. Understand the business function, strategy, users experience, challenges and their inter-dependencies across multiple businesses and functions and jointly identify and define critical IT systems and applications services, business/ systems continuity strategy, monitoring tools and acceptable service level agreements (SLAs).
4. Manage internal and external stakeholders including vendors to ensure all application delivery, support and project objectives are met within the agreed scope, timeline, cost and SLAs.
5. Work closely with multiple internal teams to review and determine projects prioritisation, application support requirements and resource management plans.
6. Lead and provide overall guidance and direction upon approval through post implementation review on all aspects of in-house and vendor driven development and enhancement projects.
7. Provide program specification and development for all code changes for enhancement, maintenance and problem fixes
8. Manage, plan, schedule and control software build and testing process through different development and enhancement stages and environments.
9. Ensure that the relevant architecture and infrastructure are robust and stable for deployment and all releases are successfully deployed according to project plan and operational readiness.
10. Manage and involve in the team's end-to-end IT program and/or project delivery performance and quality from initiation, execution, monitoring to operations handover according to the agreed project scope, schedule, budget and quality.
11. Provide management direction and guidance on technology governance processes, guidelines, project issues resolutions and risks mitigation, vendor management, etc.
12. Manage and provide technical guidance for the production and maintenance support and ensure that all resolutions are within SLAs.
13. Review and sign off application rollout as part of deployment checklist and ensure knowledge transfer to support team.
14. Review and authorise system changes including data and production patching, TCP port reset, parameter and configuration changes prior to executing in production environment.
15. Oversee all investigations of incidents including root cause and trend analyses and report the findings to the relevant teams within GT or vendor, where applicable, for permanent and sustainable corrective actions and solutions.
16. Ensure that all technical and operational documentations are developed and available for relevant stakeholders and audits.
17. Monitor, track and establish plans to address and drive closure of critical issues and defects within the project pipeline.
18. Be the point of escalation and represent the unit in project and management committee meetings to present on the overall updates for project status, risks and production issues at the function and project levels.
19. Participate in the identification and evaluation of new technological developments and gauging their appropriateness for the business to drive systems optimisation and improvement.
20. Contribute to regional efforts to rationalise and consolidate IT resources and derive maximum benefits.
21. Actively work with relevant teams within the unit, GT and where applicable, vendors, to review project data trends to identify impacts, risks, interfaces and inter-dependencies of various projects and propose alternatives or solutions and when needed, escalate to relevant project management committees for resolution.
22. Enforce and ensure that all applications, infrastructure components and project delivery are in accordance with CIMB Group's established project and delivery management and SDLC methodology, processes and standards, Enterprise Architecture standards, IT governance and policies including Information Security, Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Planning framework, applicable regulatory requirements and auditors.
23. Actively conduct review with team members to monitor projects delivery progress, issues and risks associated with projects and provide guidance and direction for alternatives or solutions to meet and achieve the expected project deliverables.
24. Mentor, motivate and develop team members by providing opportunities and skills development and fostering effective team work within the team and cross capabilities to achieve a high-level of performance, integration and consistency.
