Why This Role The role is based in Penang, Malaysia. As a Director of Module Engineering and Malaysia Penang Hub Site Lead you will provide direct leadership for the Fab Operations organization in Malaysia across a multitude of teams to ensure a strong and integrated site growth, development, and leadership plan. In this role you will report to Fab Management in Singapore. What You Will Do

• Work with Global Fab Management team to drive strategy for developing and growing Malaysia team
• Leads GF\xe2\x80\x99s Fab Operation Malaysia team to support the company\xe2\x80\x99s manufacturing activities
• Responsible for setting up Fab Control Tower
• Lead initiatives to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities through local service providers
• As a Site General Manager to pull together multiple teams to achieve Malaysia growth and best in class plans.
  • Lead, integrate and ensure organization effectiveness across a diverse range of teams in Malaysia including Fab Operations, IT, Supply Chain, HR, etc.
  • Work with Global leaders to ensure awareness and effectiveness of local plans and teams
  • Ensure processes are in line with global, local regulations yet streamlined for scale
  • Lead, motivate, develop, inspire, and encourage the Malaysia team in line with the company\xe2\x80\x99s values
  • Promote an inclusive and diverse workforce

  • Lead and develops an engaged and vibrant GlobalFoundries site; develops and implements an expansion plan for the site
  • Plan & forecast annual capital & expense budgeting of the Fab to align with Company direction. At the same time, ensure that individual department Profit and Loss stays within budget
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnership with key customers and sub-contractors
  • Responsible and plan for succession for all critical management positions in the Fab
  • Responsible for consistent performance across the engineering modules
  • Responsible to plan and execute career development goals and training for the employees.
• Corporate Social Responsibility, leads Malaysia\xe2\x80\x99s CSR efforts including community, ethics, sustainability and ethics
• Compliance and Risk Management, ensuring company policies and legal guidelines are clearly communicated and adequate internal controls and insurance for financial health and risk management of the company are in place.
• Implementing and managing GF\xe2\x80\x99s Group compliance policies and procedures
• Representation of the company - Represent the company in conjunction with government affairs and relevant external bodies; be a vocal advocate for the GF experience and brand; act as a legal representative for GF in Malaysia
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs

What You Will Need

• Degree in Engineering with 10+ years\xe2\x80\x99 working in Fab operation environment
• Experience in implementing process excellence / optimization
• Leadership skills
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Proven experience in building high performance team with an open, and trusting team culture
• Proven experience working with interdisciplinary teams \xe2\x80\x93 Engineering, HR, IT, Real Estate, etc.
• Proven track record of achieving results
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

• Experience in developing and implementing strategic and business plans
• Financial knowledge
• Analytical thinking, initiative, decision-making ability
