Job Description

Basic Function:



Corporate sales solicitation for group, individual business for rooms, catering, food and beverage in general.

Duties and Responsibilities:



1. Achieve sales objectives and goals as set by the management.
2. Build rapport with key corporate accounts.
3. Make quality calls including site inspections lunch entertainment program for the key corporate accounts.
4. Ensure that the files have account profiles, all sales reports and any other relevant information.
5. Plan call schedule one week in advance and share this information in the daily sales briefings.
6. Coordinate sales blitz programs with sales manager in the designated areas of growth potential in local area.
7. To develop a practice of weekly sales call plan in order to help better planning in terms of time management, sales objectives and who we want to see.
8. Organize business entertainment to include: luncheons, dinners, cocktails to know the client and give them confidence in the hotel management team introduce the general manager and director of marketing whenever possible.
9. Track information and share this information regarding new business trends.
10. Understand factors that affect the market inform management accordingly and come with the solution.
11. Check market share and performance of the hotel revenues.
12. Keep track of the competitors regarding special promotions and rate packages.
13. Ensure that company's SOP's and LSOPs are in place and adhered to.
14. Carry out administrative duties.
15. Monitor monthly results the performance of corporate accounts and explain ups and downs of their productions.
16. Communicate effectively to ensure that the sales function is carried out smoothly and commitments are met.
17. Submit sales call reports on a monthly basis outlining:
Total number of calls
Past month activities
Corporate production against budget and targets
Major business booked for that month and for the future
Entertainment report
Your top twenty accounts
Any Competitor information
Upcoming projects
18. Check and implement the mailing system to make sure that everybody updates and checks the accounts.
19. Monitor the paperwork flow and amend or suggest any changes to make it better for all of us.
20. Build up good rapport with the other hotel departments.
21. Liaise with the corporate sales office on business leads and corporate sales programs relating to that market and the use of travel partners.
22. Performs sales and marketing functions or related duties and special projects as assigned and directed by the director of sales and director of marketing.
23. Make personal sales calls weekly on the accounts in the assigned areas, of which has to include new accounts every week plus appropriate number of telephone calls to follow-up the business.
24. Dresses properly when contacts or meet the clients, or whenever appears in the hotel's public areas.
25. Perform other duties as assigned by director of sales and marketing

Job Profile and Qualifications:


1. At least Diploma or Bachelor degree in any field.
2. At least 5 years' experience in sales.
3. Strong in inter-personality.
4. Proficiency in English communication and computer literate.
5. Strong in driving results

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
