Formulation and direction of the sales team strategy and targets and leading the sales team to achieve the overall targets within budget
Work together with the Director of Sales & Marketing to support the development of the annual Business Plan, Hotel Budget and Marketing Plan in line with corporate goals and objectives
Follow hotel performance and short-term forecasts to find weak periods and identify customers for those periods
Responsible for ensuring overall revenue goals are achieved and/or exceeded by maximizing room and catering revenue through solicitation of past and new business and participation in sales meetings
Generate requests for proposals and manage efforts to secure group business in corporate for the various industry sectors
Conduct market research on competitors and latest industry news to identify business development opportunities
Continuously solicit for new business and meet with key clients and assist the sales team with maintaining relationships, negotiations and closing deals
Prospecting and growing an account list, handling incoming leads and closing sales
Plan, execute and follow-up on sales calls
Attract, retain, train, and motivate a diverse sales force and build a top notch sales team
Effectively execute and manage every element of the sales process on an individual level and taking the initiative to go beyond what is expected to achieve outstanding performance
Provide leadership on the day-to-day operations of the sales team, while maintaining focus on the department and companys strategic goals
Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly for the team
Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop the sales team
Provide clear directions which would simplify the role of the support staff
