Job Summary We are looking for an outperforming individual with a passion for uplifting industries & societies through a unique blend of technology strategy, business development and education. With a goal of uplifting Penang\xe2\x80\x99s societal well-being, and industrial competitiveness, the need to increase technology adoption and immersion into the fabric of the economy is the core focus. We are a newly formed State government agency tasked to accelerate efforts towards a digital economy and society. In this digital transformation journey, there are many interesting and innovative projects to engage civil society as well as enterprises to drive digital adoption and to create a confident experience. As it\xe2\x80\x99s a collective journey, you will be leading a team to engage communities on the value and move towards digitalisation. The role will also require to engage with Federal and State government entities, along with business leaders and their relevant associations, as well as solution providers, to maximise existing platforms and channels to encourage technology awareness and uptake. You will need to strategies and execute from the myriad of national and state level programs to improve the uptake of technologies within industry (towards Industry 4.0) and society (digital economy). Responsibilities: To engage Penang SME\xe2\x80\x99s on their digitalisation programs. To build government partnerships to drive the agenda of technology adoption (Industry 4.0) in the local industry To build and deliver awareness programs of, digitalisation through Web3 and other So-Me channel development strategies to the user communities. To build and maintain datasets of the industry and community landscape. To build upon the outreach programs to digitalise the communities. Requirements: Well verse in corporate strategy planning and operation management To be able to directly lead and indirectly influence teams & projects. Sound knowledge of Malaysia\xe2\x80\x99s investment strategies and patterns Understanding of key federal agencies programs related to technology uptake and productivity improvements. Project Management Skills UpToDate with International Market and Technology Trends Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English (both verbal and written). Comfortable with public speaking and communicating. Qualifications: Minimum Degree in any discipline related to ICT, Economics, Business Administration A Graduate with a minimum 10 years of experience, and/or the jobholder is an experienced individual contributor with a background in corporate business development.
