Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we\xe2\x80\x99re looking to add a Director, Operations Engineering located in Flex Skudai.

Reporting to the Plant Manager the Director,Operations Engineering role is to organize, manage and achieve KPIs in Engineering functions which includes Manufacturing Processes, Products, Equipments, Assembly and Tests, Failure Analysis, Automation.. etc.

He is also responsible to lead New Product Introduction, industrialization to ensure the success launch to meet Quality, Cost and Delivery target.

What a typical day looks like:

• Collaborate with all functional leaders to ensure all Engineering functions are at the best optimize conditions to delivery products with the highest quality, lowest cost and timely delivery.
• Build a strong leadership team in all sub-Engineering functions reporting under you.
• Good leadership and organization skill in dynamics environment to achieve operation efficiency and profitability.
• Improve and upgrade Engineering capability to stay abreast with the latest manufacturing and automation technology.
• Involve in Site technology roadmap formulation. Eg Automation, IIOT, Digitalisation, etc
• Ability to Plan, budget, and manage cost align with Site and Corporate objectives.
• Regularly interact with stakeholders in controversial situations, contract negotiations or other matters for which influence skills are required.

The experience we\xe2\x80\x99re looking to add to our team:

• Minimum Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in a Engineering field. Minimum 5 years of Engineering managerial experience in the related fields as above. Experience in EMS industries, Assembly and Test Manufacturing is preferred.
• Good experience on Assembly & Test, Backend Processes, Testing and Equipment Engineering. Knowledge of Plastic Molding, Sheetmetal and component engineering will be a added advantage.
• Experience in New Product launch, automation and process management.
• Lean Manufacturing and 6 Sigma to improve quality and cost.
• Proficient in cost management, talent development and departmental KPIs.
• Possesses financial acumen to identify potential opportunities to increase profitability.
• Process good communication and interpersonal skills with Customers, Flex Team and subordinates.
• Resourceful, Creative and Innovative.
• Hand on person and good understanding of all engineering KPIs ie. FMEA, OEE, MTBF, etc
