Job Summary

The

Fresh Division Manager

oversees all operations and performance of the

Fresh Foods Department

within the supermarket, including produce, meat, seafood, bakery, deli, and dairy sections. This role ensures that all fresh food departments deliver

exceptional quality, freshness, food safety, and customer satisfaction

, while achieving

sales, margin, and waste control targets

. The manager leads, trains, and motivates department teams to uphold brand standards and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management



Plan, direct, and coordinate daily operations of all fresh food departments. Ensure compliance with company standards for product quality, freshness, display, and rotation. Oversee stock levels, ordering, and inventory control to minimize shrinkage and wastage. Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety in all fresh departments. Implement and monitor visual merchandising plans and promotional activities.

Financial Performance



Drive sales growth and profitability through effective pricing, promotions, and inventory management. Analyze sales reports, margin performance, and waste data to identify improvement opportunities. Prepare and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost control and efficiency.

Team Leadership



Recruit, train, and develop fresh department supervisors and associates. Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching, and team meetings. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and customer focus.

Customer Service



Ensure outstanding customer service in all fresh departments. Address and resolve customer inquiries or complaints promptly and professionally. Promote sampling, product education, and engagement to enhance the shopping experience.

Compliance & Standards



Ensure full adherence to company policies, local health regulations, and food safety standards. Conduct regular audits on quality, hygiene, and safety practices. Maintain accurate records for traceability, temperature logs, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Food Science, or related field (preferred). Minimum

3-5 years of experience

in fresh food retail operations or supermarket management. Strong understanding of

fresh food handling, merchandising, and inventory control

. Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in MS Office and POS/inventory management systems. Knowledge of HACCP, food safety standards, and local regulations.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
