Job Description
The Domain Engineer acts as a bridge between technical and business domains, ensuring smooth application performance and providing holistic support for systems and services. This role is ideal for former software developers or engineers who want to transition into L1/L2 technical business support while leveraging their domain knowledge and technical expertise.
- Architect and optimize systems/applications for performance, scalability, and reliability within the domain.
- Research and recommend new tools, technologies, and frameworks relevant to the domain.
- Coordinate with stakeholders (users, customers, management, UX, development, operations, etc.).
- Provide holistic support for products, systems, and services.
- Handle technical and professional tasks not performed by the development team or product owner.
- Maintain and manage data integrity across systems.
- Define and set up application monitoring based on system/product requirements.
- Drive troubleshooting across different units and markets.
- Improve technical processes and optimize workflows for efficiency.
A successful Domain Engineer (BBD) should have:
Background: Former software developer or engineer looking to transition into technical business support roles (L1/L2).
Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of business processes and domain-specific applications.
Mindset: Proactive problem solver, eager to find answers independently and ensure smooth application performance.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
