Drive company vehicles to transport retail equipment (shelving, trolleys, racks, refrigeration units, etc.) to client sites.
Plan delivery routes to ensure timely installation and minimize transport costs.
Safely load, secure, and unload equipment to avoid damage.
Installation / Setup
Install retail fixtures: boltless racks, display systems, shelving units, shopping trolleys, etc. (in line with Hubs' product offerings).
Mount refrigeration showcase systems (if required) and other heavier equipment.
Assemble food-processing machines (e.g., meat slicers, mincers) and calibrate as needed.
Work with the technical / engineering team to ensure proper alignment, sealing, electrical connections (if needed), and functioning.
Maintenance & Repair
Provide on-site maintenance support for previously installed systems
Perform regular checks and minor repairs / adjustments when required.
Customer Interaction & Service
Liaise with customers during installation: explain how to operate equipment, give brief demonstrations, and ensure user satisfaction.
Gather customer feedback or identify issues and escalate them appropriately.
Documentation & Reporting
Complete delivery and installation paperwork: job sheets, sign-offs, checklists.
Record mileage, fuel usage, vehicle condition, and any incidents during transport.
Report on installation status, delays, or customer concerns to supervisors or project managers.
Safety & Compliance
Follow company safety procedures during installation and driving.
Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for installation work.
Safely handle tools, lifting equipment, and heavy loads according to company SOPs.
Inventory & Tools Management
Be responsible for company tools and installation materials in the vehicle.
Ensure all tools are in good condition, and report missing or defective tools to the supervisor.
Help with the loading of parts / equipment from warehouse before dispatch.
Skills & Qualifications
Valid driving license (class depending on vehicle type).
Experience driving commercial vehicles or vans.
Experience in installation / assembly work (metal shelving, display units, or similar).
Basic mechanical / electrical skills (able to handle wiring, drilling, mounting).
Good communication skills (to deal with customers on-site).
Physically fit: able to lift moderate to heavy equipment.
Basic problem-solving skills and troubleshooting.
Customer-focused and service-oriented.
Able to work in a team and also independently.
