The Duty Manager Front Office is responsible for overseeing the overall Front Office operations during assigned shifts, ensuring the highest standards of guest service, operational efficiency and compliance with hotel policies. This position represents hotel management in the absence of senior leadership and plays a key role in maintaining guest satisfaction and smooth interdepartmental coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and manage Front Office operations during assigned shifts in accordance with hotel standards and procedures.
Act as the Manager on Duty, handling operational decisions, guest relations matters and emergency situations professionally.
Ensure a seamless guest experience by overseeing check in, check out, room allocation and special guest requests.
Handle guest feedback, complaints and service recovery effectively to ensure guest satisfaction.
Coordinate closely with Housekeeping, Engineering, Security and Food & Beverage departments to ensure efficient hotel operations.
Monitor staff performance, grooming standards, attendance and service quality.
Ensure compliance with cash handling procedures, night audit processes (if applicable) and internal controls.
Manage VIP arrivals, group movements and special arrangements.
Prepare daily duty reports, incident reports and shift handover notes for management review.
Ensure adherence to hotel policies, safety regulations and security procedures at all times.
Assist in training, coaching and motivating Front Office team members.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma in Hotel Management or Hospitality Management
is mandatory.
Minimum
2-3 years of Front Office experience
, preferably in a supervisory or Duty Manager role.
Experience in an international or chain hotel environment is an advantage.
Strong leadership, problem solving and decision making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Good command of
English
additional languages are an advantage.
Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
Well-groomed, professional and service oriented.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM2,700.00 per month
