Summary:

The Duty Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring guest satisfaction, and handling any issues that may arise. This role is pivotal in maintaining the high standards of service and hospitality that our guests expect.

Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to team members, observing performance and encouraging improvement. Take responsibility of the hotel as the Duty Manager in the absence of the Assistant Front Office / Front Office Manager. Assist with room assignments, monitor room availability and oversee the efficient operation of the reservation system. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the front office area. Maintain effective communication with other departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance to ensure guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. Prepare daily reports on occupancy, guest feedback, and any issues encountered. Report to the Front Office Manager on operational matters.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred or equivalent. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within a resort or hotel environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong leadership and team management abilities, proficiency in hotel management software and excellent problem-solving skills. Professional appearance and demeanor, ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively, strong organizational skills and a guest-oriented approach.
