St Joseph\xe2\x80\x99s Institution International School Malaysia (SJIIM) is a Lasallian International School (3 to 18 years). It prepares students for the IGCSE, A Level and IB Diploma Programme examinations with an emphasis upon research-based teaching pedagogy and a character-building programme of activities inspired by the school\xe2\x80\x99s Lasallian heritage. This includes service learning initiatives, and a holistic approach to sport, music and the arts.
SJIIM is seeking an outstanding and inspirational EAL Support Coach (High School) who will provide in class support to EAL learners in the High School, as well as offering individualised support and teaching small groups of EAL students. The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to join the staff of this ambitious and developing international school.

Requirements:
We are looking for a committed, passionate and knowledgeable professional who will work proactively to ensure the best possible teaching of EAL.
Responsibility:
  • Supporting EAL students with their learning of English by providing in class support
  • Working with the EAL department to adapt teaching resources to suit EAL students of different abilities
  • Supporting EAL students with after school EAL lessons
  • Teaching small groups of EAL learners or providing individual support to specific students
  • To promote the Lasallian Mission and Core Values of SJIIM
  • Demonstrate thorough curriculum knowledge
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach towards professional development
