ECOLOGY RESTORATION AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER 1. Research and analyze critical areas codes and environmental regulations 2. Manage the production of environmental permit applications and documentation (Tropical habitats, Assessment Reports, Biological Evaluations, Water Quality Plans, Shoreline Assessments, and Mitigation Plans), provide QA/QC and final approval; 3. Provide direction to and oversight of field biologists performing , forest stream, habitat, and shoreline delineations and assessments; 4. Prepare and manage project scope, schedule & budget and communicate challenges in a timely manner to management; 5. Prepare and manage project schedules and track deliverables showing follow through and competence; 6. Apply a high level of technical expertise in ecological restoration and environmental permitting to ensure that forest consistently produces the highest quality of work. This includes performing all work in a manner that is based on current scientific findings, scientifically-defensible arguments, and techniques related to professional land management and ecological restoration; 7. Work with Design to develop design plans and project strategies within the parameters ; 8. Serve as the lead in the preparation of design documents for permit applications. This includes conducting field assessments and reviewing site analyses; 9. Oversee project estimates and proposals prepared by estimating staff; 10. Work with Restoration Staff in the preparation of land management, restoration plans and related documentation for permitting and construction purposes; 11. Oversee bioengineering design development and construction; 12. Lead and collaborate with environmental technicians and crew leaders in various types of active land management activities and/or restoration planting projects; 13. Manage multiple scopes in all phases of design and restoration; 14. Conduct site inspections to monitor work progress and environmental compliance in the phase
