Must have EDI background with development. EDI specialists should have a solid background in information systems technology and working knowledge of data communication protocols. They must be detail-oriented, have excellent problem-solving skills and have the ability to work independently. A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science or a related discipline is normally required. In addition, employers typically look for several years of IT-related experience, plus three or more years with EDI systems administration, design, analysis and development..
