Job Description


JOB PURPOSE

The Education Counselor, Business Development (B2C) - East Malaysia Region is responsible to support the Business Development Northern team of Taylor\'s Higher Education (Taylor\'s University and Taylor\'s College). He/she is accountable for achieving the team and individual sales targets, which supports Taylor\'s University and Taylor\'s College sales targets, by driving the team Sales Pipeline (Lead, Contact, Appointment, Visit, Enrolment, and Registration). That includes all Leads from all Channels.
He/she is also accountable for achieving the team and individual sales lead generation target through Partner Secondary Schools, Exhibitions, and other feeder channels assigned from the East Malaysia region.

KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES

GROW ENROLMENT

  • Responsible for National Sales (New Local & Transfer markets) assigned to the region, inclusive of supporting other sales departments if needed.
  • Accountable for managing the business development team\'s performance in achieving team National and Regional Sales Target and Growth by annual and cycle. The target includes Student Registration.
  • Provide comprehensive advice, guidance, and information, such as admissions requirements, tuition fees, scholarships and accommodation to prospective and existing students and parents of Taylor\'s Higher Education.
  • Follow up with prospective students and parents for sales conversion via various channels.
  • Support enrolment-related events and activities which include Open Days, Enrolment Days, and other events organized to attract prospective students.
  • Support market intelligence and information gathering of competitors\' offerings.
WOW STUDENT EXPERIENCE
  • Ensure that excellent customer service is always provided to new prospective students and parents through all channels.
  • Ensure timely responses to all enrolment-related requests by prospective students and parents.
  • Manage stock inventory and maintenance of the promotional materials and merchandise of Taylor\'s Higher Education for the team.
JOB SPECIFICATION

MINIMUM ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
Degree in Business/Management/Marketing or related discipline

RELATED EXPERIENCE
  • At least two (2) years of working experience in an education environment is preferred. Fresh graduates encourage to apply
  • Business development and account management experience in the education environment is preferred.
  • Experience in regional sales execution would be an added advantage.
COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)
  • Strong Selling and Counseling capabilities
  • Strong Customer Service experience
  • Familiar with Sales Tools, Processes, and Technological development and management.
  • Familiar with Higher Education products customer profiling and competitor profiling.
  • Knowledge of ATL, BTL, Digital Marketing, and Feeder School Marketing & Branding approaches.
  • Account Management & Execution strategies.
  • Cost benchmarking for Sales & Marketing effort.
  • Knowledge of agent network management and remuneration.
  • Footprint expansion, development, and optimization.
  • Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and/ or Mandarin.
  • Knowledge and skills in using computer software. E.g. Microsoft software applications.
