About the Role

A leading EV battery manufacturer is seeking a proactive and certified

EHS Engineer

to spearhead environmental, health, and safety initiatives at its Kedah facility. This is a high-impact role requiring

Green Book certification

,

Mandarin fluency

, and deep familiarity with

Malaysian EHS regulations and ISO standards

.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement EHS policies aligned with

ISO 14001

and

ISO 45001

. Ensure full compliance with

DOE

,

DOSH

,

BOMBA

, and other regulatory bodies. Conduct

HIRARC assessments

, lead risk mitigation efforts, and investigate incidents. Manage

scheduled waste

,

air emissions

, and

effluent discharge

under the

Environmental Quality Act 1974

. Lead

emergency response planning

, fire drills, and evacuation protocols. Deliver bilingual

EHS training programs

in Mandarin and English. Liaise with government agencies and internal teams for

audits, inspections, and reporting

. Track and report

EHS KPIs

, driving continuous improvement across operations.

Candidate Profile

Bachelor's Degree in

Environmental Engineering

,

Occupational Safety & Health

,

Chemical Engineering

, or related field. Minimum

5 years' experience

in EHS within manufacturing (automotive, electronics, or battery preferred).

Green Book certified

by DOSH (mandatory). Fluent in

Mandarin and English

-- spoken, written, and typed. Strong command of

ISO 14001

,

ISO 45001

, and Malaysian EHS regulations. Hands-on experience with

scheduled waste management

,

IETS operations

, and

regulatory reporting

. Excellent communicator with proven ability to engage stakeholders across levels.
