Sika Kimia Sdn Bhd currently employs more than 340 people in Sales & Marketing, Technical Service, Finance, HR & Administration, Laboratory, Production, Purchasing, Customer Service and Warehouse. Manage the EHS requirements for 2 factories. Assist in EHS related functions in performing and tracking tasks to comply with EHS legal compliance and other required standards. Track monitoring of reporting and investigating incidents. Provide support to Factory Manager for plant on EHS implementation in DOSH and DOE due diligence. Advise staff of any safety infringement detected during audits & coordinate in-house training/induction/briefing to employee/ visitor & Safety briefing/toolbox meeting for contractor. Provide support for Factory Manager, EHS committee and work as liaison with EHS related contractors, attend training to maintain proficiency in EHS related issues & adhere to all company regulations punctuality, attire and discipline. Drive plant Emergency Response Team and Emergency Response & Preparedness plan. Follow up on safety issues brought up from respective departments. Assist on documentation of EHS procedures compliance to ISO, HIRARC & EIA review, applicable permits, PPE inventory/issuance/distribution, preparing delivery EHS training, coordinate EHS Teams and maintain EHS records. Assist to maintain a systematic filing system for quick reference and retrieval of important documentation during inspection by internal/external. Creating a real \'safety culture\' within the whole team assigned to that location. Qualifications Possess at least Bachelor\'s Degree/ Professional Degree in Engineering (Environmental, Safety and Health) or equivalent. At least 5 years of relevant working experience in manufacturing environment, preferably chemical. Specific training related to waste management, confined spaces and bag filters will be consider a plus. Capable to manage ISO documentation and safekeeping of records. Additional Information Able to work with minimum supervision. Motivated, independent, efficient and willing to learn. Familiar with ISO management system and EHS legal requirements. Able to communicate at all levels. Must speak fluent English and Bahasa Malaysia.
