Job Title: Electrical & Electronic Product Engineer Working Location : At PTP, Johor Working hours : Work from Office 8.30am - 5.30pm, Monday to Friday Type of employment : Permanent Language(s) required : English Responsibilities : Support and responsive to factory build readiness issues and product performance escalations on sub-systems owned Collaborate with Global Business Unit (GBU), cross functional support team and outsourced Manufacturing Partner to enable/support a highly compressed product industrialization development cycle to meet program time-to-market demand Participate in product prototyping builds at GBU (Barcelona) to provide DFM and for product/process and test knowledge transfer successfully Drive build readiness at Manufacturing Partner factory on sub-systems owned to meet product/process engineering requirements, including product critical test parameters Collaborate with GBU/support partners to resolve product EE engineering issues timely to enable successful production ramp to stabilization. Responsive to any post-MR field escalation/feedback to meet or exceed customer satisfaction expectations Accountable to Operations team to drive and deliver on PCA costs, quality and factory productivity metrics to meet MR/FSR checkpoint goals, and continue to drive post MR stabilization expectations Manage and collaborate with outsourced Manufacturing Partner to deliver to program support needs in the factory throughout industrialization phase and post MR requirements Review product EE integration and test performance and work with manufacturing partners to validate root cause analysis Review PCA failure trends and work with PCA factory to isolate root cause and track corrective action plans Work with GBU counterparts to set up new Functional Tester for new PCAs, knowledge in ICT is an advantage. Knowledge and Skills Required* Strong knowledge of electronics principle and microprocessor based circuit design Excellent analytical problem solving, failure analysis, debug techniques and use of troubleshooting tools Ability to interpret schematic and gerber design drawing Familiar with industry leading schematic capture, layout and simulation tools Skilled in one or more programming languages Good teamwork and communication skills Must have a good command of English both orally and written Able to work independently to perform tasks assigned to him/her Resourceful and result oriented
