Position Title Electrical Engineer - Solar PV System (GCPV)

\xe3\x83\xbbResponsible for engineering, design and delivery of grid connected solar photovoltaic systems (including commercial and industrial rooftops and utility scale) on time and on budget.

\xe3\x83\xbbManage proposals and the bid/award process for obtaining these services and will provide project management and design consultation for all projects.

\xe3\x83\xbbHe/She will review solar system engineering designs, modeling, and performance data, and provide engineering support during the construction process.

\xe3\x83\xbbCore Responsibilities Conduct engineering site audits to collect structural, electrical and related site information for use in the design of commercial and utility-scale solar power systems

\xe3\x83\xbbDesign and coordinate design of photovoltaic (PV) systems, including system components and generation of BOQ/BOM to suit site condition and in accordance to solar engineering standards (MS, IEC, NEC etc)

\xe3\x83\xbbDesign and develop electrical single-line diagram, panel schedules and connection diagram for solar electric systems using computer-aided design (CAD) software

\xe3\x83\xbbComplete all electrical calculations in detail related to the project (DC and AC)

\xe3\x83\xbbPrepare PV system report and PR calculations

\xe3\x83\xbbPerform solar energy production analysis from designed PV systems and seek to optimize efficiency through cost-benefits analysis

\xe3\x83\xbbReview specifications and recommend engineering or manufacturing changes to achieve solar design objectives

\xe3\x83\xbbEvaluate plans or specifications to determine technological or environmental implications

\xe3\x83\xbbRecommend technical design or process changes to improve efficiency, quality, or performance

\xe3\x83\xbbProvide technical direction or support to Project Manager and Engineer during installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning, or performance monitoring

\xe3\x83\xbbCreate checklists for review or inspection of completed solar installation projects

\xe3\x83\xbbAnalyze costs and benefits of proposed designs or projects and performing cost reduction analyses for solar systems

\xe3\x83\xbbReview of EPC\'s Scope of Work, Specifications and comments on design and installation

\xe3\x83\xbbAttend site visits during construction for review and inspection of installation works of solar Systems
Salary 6000~10000 (MYR)
Location Penang
Requirements \xe2\x9c\x93Qualification Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent

\xe2\x9c\x93Possesses of Grid-Connected Photovoltaic (GCPV) certification will be an added advantage

\xe2\x9c\x93At least 3 years of relevant working experience in PV system design and engineering and low, medium and high voltage power electronics.

\xe2\x9c\x93Working knowledge of standard electrical calculations, basic structural & mechanical calculation

\xe2\x9c\x93SEDA GCPV (Preferred)
