1. Product Inspection & Troubleshooting
Inspect returned electrical and non-electrical products to identify faults or defects.
Diagnose problems accurately and determine repair requirements.
Record findings clearly for each case in the service tracking list.
Coordinate with Customer Service team for case verification or spare part requests.
2. Product Repair & Quality Assurance
Perform repair and maintenance according to standard procedures and safety guidelines.
Replace faulty parts using approved spare parts and record part usage.
Conduct product functionality testing after repair to ensure safety and performance.
Ensure repaired units are clean and properly packed before returning to the customers.
3. SIRIM Application & Testing Coordination
Prepare and arrange products for SIRIM inspection, testing, and certification processes.
Liaise with SIRIM officers and relevant departments to ensure timely submission and collection of
units.
Maintain proper records of SIRIM units, testing schedules, and approval documents.
Support documentation preparation, product labelling, and coordination of test results.
Ensure products comply with SIRIM requirements before release to market or customer.
4. Spare Parts & Tools Management
Request and track spare parts usage for repair jobs.
Maintain service tools, equipment, and workbench in good working condition.
Report low stock, missing, or defective parts and tools to the supervisor promptly.
5. Documentation & Reporting
Ensure all service reports, photos, and technical findings are properly recorded.
Update the warranty tracking system or service listing daily.
Support the CS team with technical input for customer communication.
Keep proper documentation related to repair history, part usage, and SIRIM-related activities.
6. Team & Operation Support
Work closely with the Customer Service and Warehouse teams for smooth product flow.
Support product testing or demonstration during internal training or product evaluation.
Participate in continuous improvement to enhance service efficiency and turnaround time.
Qualifications:
Certificate or Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Minimum 1-2 years' experience in product servicing or repair (home appliances preferred).
Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, component testing, and troubleshooting.
Experience or familiarity with SIRIM testing or certification processes is an advantage.
Able to read and follow technical manuals or diagrams.
Good organization skills and attention to detail.
Responsible, self-disciplined, and able to work independently.
Proficient in basic computer skills (Excel, Google Sheets, WhatsApp).
Able to communicate in English and Malay (Mandarin is an advantage).
