Handle a wide range of employee relations activities, including disciplinary actions, counseling, grievance resolution, labor disputes, internal investigations, terminations, and other related procedures in accordance with labor regulations.
Act as the main contact for employee relations concerns for both staff and managers.
Lead and assist in investigations, offering well-informed recommendations that benefit both the organization and employees.
Provide guidance and support on employee relations policies and procedures.
Take charge of or contribute to employee relations projects.
Design and deliver training programs focused on employee relations for managers and other personnel.
Prepare and issue disciplinary notices and detailed investigation reports.
Compile weekly reports on employee and industrial relations activities, and maintain records of disciplinary actions.
Support managers in implementing Performance Improvement Plans effectively.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, or a related field.
Between 5-7 years of hands-on experience in employee or industrial relations.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Ability to exercise good judgment when addressing employee-related issues.
Strong coaching abilities to enhance performance management, promote fair workplace practices, and foster respect among staff.
Proven experience managing grievances, conducting thorough investigations, and providing advice on various employee relations challenges such as conflicts, performance, and conduct concerns.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and manage data effectively.
Skilled at building positive relationships across all levels and departments of the organization.
Effective listening skills and persuasive communication to influence decisions and outcomes.
Solid understanding of labor laws.
Familiarity with union management is a plus.
