Encapsulation Process Engineer

Job description

This rapidly expanding semiconductor company in Melaka is seeking an Encapsulation/Molding Process Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

• To lead a group of Production technicians to troubleshoot encapsulation failure analysis, Hold tag lots release, yield improvement, monitor the Encapsulation machine efficiency and make the assembly process more robust.
• To carry out all the encapsulation failure analysis.
• To carry out machine maintenance to achieve high machine efficiency.
• To hold a meeting with Self Managing Team to improve the encapsulation yield.
• To work with product development engineers on new product in production.
• To buy off all new Encap equipment.
• To generate SOP for the production staff.
• To work out matter of screening of hold tag lot
• Handle and update Encap process flow
• Improve production output and yield related matter

Coordinate any SMT and TPM program * To shut down any process/operation which deviates from specification.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Minimum degree in Engineering or equivalent
• Experienced in manufacturing process and quality control
• Knowledge in QC tools (8D, TQM , 7QC, etc.)
• Good communicator - verbally and written
• At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
• Management System familiarity - ISO 9001 /IATF 16949 / ISO 14001
• Coretools knowledge - SPC / FMEA / MSA / APQP / PPAP
• Statistical Techniques
• VDA 6.3 Process Audit Skills / certification would be advantageous
