Job Description

This role is ideal for a seasoned energy professional who brings both technical depth and strong commercial insight, particularly within the biomass, energy, or industrial sectors. The position will involve significant greenfield project work, requiring you to lead initiatives from concept through to operational readiness. You will be responsible for driving execution from planning to delivery, working with internal and external stakeholders including government authorities in Sabah to ensure operational excellence, cost control, and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of greenfield and operational projects across multidisciplinary engineering and operational scopes.
• Ensure project milestones are met while balancing timelines, costs, and technical outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, and operations.
• Apply project management and energy management best practices to drive execution excellence.
• Identify areas for process improvement, cost savings, and energy efficiency.
• Engage with external vendors, consultants, and government authorities in Sabah to facilitate project approvals and compliance.
• Prepare and deliver project updates and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.

?Requirements

• Proven experience managing biomass, energy, or complex industrial projects, with exposure to greenfield development.
• Strong technical background in engineering, process optimization, or plant operations.
• Experience liaising with government authorities in Sabah is highly preferred.
• Commercial acumen with the ability to align project outcomes with business goals.
• Familiarity with energy efficiency initiatives or green technology is a plus.
• Willing and able to be based full-time in Sabah.
• Independent, hands-on, and ready to hit the ground running.
