We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Wealth and Personal Banking team in the role of Engagement and Communications Manager, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

The role holder is responsible for supporting the delivery of internal communications to support the Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) Malaysia agenda. Emphasis is also on inspiring action and culture/behavioral change by connecting branch/retail bank teams to our company purpose, business priorities and to each other through unmissable and impactful storytelling, close collaboration, opportunities for two-way dialogue with leaders and effective line manager communications.

In this role, the Engagement & Communications Manager will:

  • Activate communication tactics for WPB Malaysia working closely with WPB Exco.
  • Managing organizational change and business transformation through strategic communications support.
  • Support WPB leadership and channel communications and deliver engaging, digitally and audience focused content to raise branch/sales engagement around Asia & MY wealth.
  • Work closely with ASP, Global WPB Communications and Group Communications to roll out relevant campaigns.
  • Build strong relationships with the business and the WPB ASP communication network and supporting them with useful, relevant and timely tools, guidance and content.
  • Use insights and feedback to inform the communications planning and execution across various internal and interlocking audiences and via a range of channels.
  • Lead the delivery of the People Experience strategy, including projects on-site that improve recruitment, attrition metrics, learning and development, and overall people engagement score, aiming to become an employer of choice in our locality.
  • Leverage on people data to anlayze employee sentiments (from Snapshot surveys, Exchange sessions, and the like) and ensure that the to employee sentiments is aligned to the People Strategy.
  • Evaluate and anlayze management information to support the operations and flagging where necessary if there are any issues surrounding HR Recruitment & Onboarding, Learning, Culture and People Experience in Distribution.
  • Collaborate with Head of Recruitment and Onboarding and co-own the end to end recruitment journey of Distribution Sales roles.
  • Align all initiatives such that the HSBC culture, purpose and values are clearly communicated and embedded
Requirements

Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree in any field
  • At least 5 years of working experience in banking or financial industry.
  • Experience building and managing strong stakeholder relationships at all levels including a wide range of internal stakeholders\xe2\x80\x99 relationships [matrix and vertically].
  • Ability to understand business issues and devise communications strategies that deliver results, constructing fresh approaches where appropriate and making connections to other issues.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and pressurized situations.
  • Exceptional writing ability, particularly in developing short, fresh content using straightforward language and for use by leaders and across multiple channels, including digital channels.
  • Experience of social media, including writing briefing notes, press releases and messaging for leadership interviews and exchanges.
  • Video production, graphic design/layout skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
