Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled

Fire & Life Safety (FLS) Engineer

with strong expertise in

fire alarm systems, fire protection equipment, and life safety compliance

. The ideal candidate should be experienced in system installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and ensuring all works comply with relevant codes and standards.

This role is suitable for someone who is detail-oriented, technically strong, and able to work independently or within a project team.

Key Responsibilities

Install, test, commission, and maintain

fire alarm systems

, including conventional and addressable systems. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all

fire protection systems

, such as: Fire alarm panels Smoke detectors / heat detectors Fire suppression systems (FM200, CO?, etc.) Emergency lighting Fire extinguishers & hose reels Diagnose system faults and propose effective solutions. Prepare service reports, inspection findings, and technical documentation. Ensure all works comply with

local regulations, NFPA standards, BOMBA requirements

, and company SOPs. Coordinate with clients, consultants, and main contractors on project or service matters. Assist in system upgrades, integration, and testing with third-party systems (BMS, security systems, etc.). Provide technical support during audits, inspections, and handovers.

Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Fire Safety Engineering, or related field. Minimum

2-5 years experience

in Fire Alarm / FLS / Fire Protection systems. Strong knowledge in: Addressable fire alarm systems (e.g., Notifier, Siemens, Gent, EST, Morley, etc.) Fire suppression & detection systems NFPA, MS, UBBL, and BOMBA standards Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics, and system layouts. Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Possess own transport & willing to travel to site. BOMBA-related certifications (optional but added advantage): Fire Safety Manager Certificate Fire Alarm & Detection System Course Competency certificates
