Contributes to operations and production engineering support to safe, efficient production operations in the PTTEP Malaysia related to electrical scope.
Production, process, and maintenance engineering support to the onshore and offshore crew by advising and assisting in production strategies and conducting optimization studies.
Support Project Team regarding to the electrical engineering.
Ensure all electrical areas are complies with the regulatory standard and adhere best practice.
Ensure that all work performed by the Business Partner (BP) is safe to operate, technically sound, installed in accordance with approved design, codes, and specifications to the highest quality.
Ensure the works are done as per approved workpack, and approved Work-order-proposal (WOP) in term of manpower planning, equipment, work schedule.
To coordinate with PTTEP\'s site operations representative and other contractors on construction related issue to expedite the work delivery and resolve any issues on timely manner.
Handle all aspects of electrical construction activities including pre-inspections, material acceptance, valid working drawings from contractors, inspection/test of completed works, processing work completion documentation including red-line mark-up, as-built drawings, as required in line with PTTEP\'s procedures and guidelines.
1.2 KEY OBJECTIVES
Maintain focus on and continually develop working knowledge of Asset Integrity, OSRMS, OTR and IOAIA processes, ensuring compliance threats and actions are understood to ensure compliance with Safety Case requirements.
Liaise with government body such as EIU, Electric Commission, SIRIM, DOSH, Malaysia Petroleum Management (MPM), and other PSC which have share in PTTEP\'s production in manner to establish good integrity related to electrical.
Support and assist during maintenance troubleshooting. Diagnose and resolve issues related to electrical systems to minimize production interruptions.
Analyze data collected from systems to identify trends and areas for improvement in facilities performance.
Regularly calibrate (relay) as agreed preventative maintenance plan and validate electrical equipment to maintain accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Maintain accurate records of electrical systems maintenance activities, calibration logs, and equipment manuals.
Obsolete electrical equipment identification. Plan for sustenance spares, replacement and upgrade works as required.
2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Assists in providing production and electrical engineering support to the Onshore and Offshore team by advising on maintenance engineering strategies and conducting optimization studies.
Well versed and keep up-to-date knowledge on electrical subject, electrical safety, electrical standard installations, explosion-proof principal, electrical system good practice in design, selection of equipment, operational, maintenance and safety.
In conjunction with onshore support groups assist in planning and coordinating all major activities including:
Startup and commissioning.
Planned shutdowns.
Programmed maintenance (PM / CM).
Participating in HAZOP, HAZID and Safety Case studies.
When required to do so, mobilize to site to perform suitable and sufficient investigation of sub-standard conditions, garnering support of other discipline SME knowledge to support the investigation. This will likely be as team leader for unplanned shutdowns and incidents and may require frequent trips offshore in remote locations
2.1 PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Prepares and evaluates production procedures and documents such as repair, operating, commissioning, and testing procedures.
On site monitoring of equipment testing and other inspections to ensure compatibility with safe and efficient offshore and onshore operations.
Liaise with other units or departments in order to obtain information related to production.
Assists, where possible, in the development and implementation of the Management of Change (MoC), which is standardized across the Business Units.
Assists the facility and support personnel with preparation and implementation of short- and medium-term facility plans.
Maintains the operability of the Corporate Production Database for reporting purposes.
Ensures that all activities that are conducted comply with all legal and Company requirements.
Process related Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Management of Change (MoC) and e-Deviation.
Responsible for scheduling technical activities and facilities maintenance to support oil and gas production which related to electrical.
Performs non-routine tasks and attends such meetings, factory and site acceptance test (FAT and SAT) as directed by the Staff Engineer, Electrical and Head of Maintenance or as opportunity presents, in order to meet Company objectives.
Making sure that proper documentation is always in place and are kept updated and drive innovation regarding development and implementation of new measurement methods.
Quality control of the work done by vendors/contractors.
Ensure that all electrical systems comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
Shared responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of all persons at any Production Site, including staff, contractors and visitors and for local environmental safety.
Manage the activities and operational work program as supervised by the appropriate Supervisors. Ensure that the operations and work activities are performed in accordance with the applicable Management System, PTTEP Policies, Procedures, work instructions and regulatory requirements.
Motivate, consult with and ensure the participation of the Production team and visiting contractors, in the ongoing development and implementation of safety at the workplace.
Report all accidents, incidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences to the PTTEP Production Supervisor. Ensure reports are legible, comprehensive and timely, and any additional information pertinent to the report is attached as per Management System Procedure.
Attend and actively encourage the \xe2\x80\x9cPositive Attitude Safety System\xe2\x80\x9d (PASS) and other safety initiatives as per HSE Guidelines.
5. WORKING RELATIONSHIP
Reports directly to the Staff Engineer, Electrical, keeping him/her informed of all technical activities.
Head of Maintenance Engineering, Inspection and Integrity, Head of Asset, Head of Operation, Production Superintendent, Maintenance Superintendent and contractors.
PTTEP Malaysia Project Team personnel.
On board short-term contract and technical staff and all visitors.
Good relations must be maintained with personnel on all facilities and Kuala Lumpur office/ Bintulu Office/ Labuan and Kota Kinabalu Office.
6. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Malaysian Citizen.
Possess a Degree, Diploma (subject to consideration) or the equivalent qualification to a degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university or institution.
Electrical Engineer registered with the Board of Engineers (BEM) under the Registration of Engineer Act 1967.
A minimum of 6 years\' experience in hydrocarbon production industry environment in a supervisory capacity, working experience in an environment where electrical equipment is in operation and has had experience of controlling live equipment preferable in Oil & Gas plant / platform.
A minimum of 5 years\' experience associated with hydrocarbon production and offshore production floating facilities in a supervisory capacity.
Self-motivated with Strong organization and team building skills.
He has sufficient knowledge of modern electrical engineering practice, including the principles of operation of equipment used for generation, transmission, distribution, utilisation, protection, HVAC and metering in electrical installation and energy efficiency management.
Hand-on, sufficient knowledge and practice on Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) especially electrical troubleshooting tasks.
He has sufficient knowledge of first aid, resuscitation, and treatment of electric shock.
6.1 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
He has sufficient knowledge of the Ordinance and any rules made by Chief Electrical Inspector / Energy Commission of Malaysia.
Previous employment history in engineering & maintenance.
Strong personal and interpersonal skills with flexibility to meet the fluctuating needs of operations support.
Strong communication skills for working with, understanding and motivating Malaysian national personnel.
Strong team building skills.
A sound knowledge of the business drivers affecting PTTEP.
Specific knowledge of oil production, rotating equipment, water injection, gas lift, compressor and etc. plant.
6.1 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Knowledge in power generation, transmission, distribution, switching, Operation and Maintenance requirements, and to be covered \xe2\x80\x9cOnshore\xe2\x80\x9d and \xe2\x80\x9cOffshore\xe2\x80\x9d.
Experience in auditing for Integrated Operational and Asset Integrity (IOAIA), Offshore Self-Regulatory Management System (OSRMS), OTR-OEMS, Procurement Audit and having the audit authorization from SIRIM is an advantage.
Sound knowledge of Project, Construction and Commissioning activities, with previous experience in one or more Malaysian construction sites.
Sound knowledge of training, Competency-based Training and Assessment (CBTA) and technology transfer issues in Malaysian environment.
Experience of Performance Standard SCE, PCE and BCE.
Experience of Contract Management, to execute, using and close the contract.
Valid BOSET / HUET training.
