Requirements
Minimum Education Level

• At least Bachelor's Degree

Required Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related field engineering from a higher learning institution and recognized by Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA) / Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).

3 years' experience in lubricant oil testing, condition monitoring, or predictive maintenance. * Familiarity with integration of OLTC servicing, IEC/IEEE transformer maintenance standards, and high-voltage equipment.

• Training in safety for high-voltage systems (e.g., HIRARC, OSHA, Electrical Safety). is an added advantage.
• Experience in predictive maintenance tools (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, condition monitoring) is an added advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, teamwork skills for cross-functional collaboration and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of TNB, CBM, and DOE regulations is an added advantage.
• Good multitasking, deadline management, and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel for fieldwork, audits, and client support.
• Valid driver's license and flexibility to work outside normal hours if needed

Responsibilities

• Plan, (OEMs, contractors, safety officers) for scheduling and execution OLTC servicing, transformer dismantling, and installation.
• Review work scope and technical requirements for OLTC servicing, transformer dismantling, oil filtration, and installation works
• Supervise oil filtration, vacuuming, and reconditioning in compliance with DOE standards.
• Inspect and assess tapping leads, bushings, and contacts for wear and defects.
• Monitor the replacement of gaskets, contact cleaning, alignment, and gear servicing.
• Verify test results (DGA, BDV, moisture levels) before transformer re-energization
• Oversee the installation of multicore cables, NER modifications, and earthing systems.
• Ensure labelling and segregation of dismantled components per DOE guidelines.
• Supervise the packing, transportation, and disposal of schedule waste (oil, absorbent pads, gaskets).
• Arrange for competent personnel for site safety & permit-to-work compliance.
• Validate ratio tests, insulation resistance, and contact resistance after OLTC reassembly.
• Confirm that all electrical tests comply with TNB and CBM standards before handover.
• Conduct risk assessments and toolbox talk before starting work
• Prepare daily progress reports and liaise with clients for final inspections.
