Job Summary:

The Equipment Engineer provides support to manufacturing operations by ensuring optimum equipment utilization through immediate equipment repair and design improvement to minimize equipment downtime and practice collaboration with cross-functional group including sub-contractors and other ADI sites. He / She may supervise and lead equipment engineers and technicians in the repair, troubleshooting, upgrade/conversion, qualification, and preventive maintenance of equipment. Preferably with some experience of Teradyne Tester (J750, MicroFlex, Catalyst, A565, ETS364) & prober (TEL, EG)

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinates critical and major repair of manufacturing equipment (System / Hardware / Instruments) according to established procedure and parameter settings in the shortest possible time.

Drives analysis of equipment, hardware and instruments preventive maintenance and repair data thru MTBF and MTTR.

Ensures that assigned performance metrics are met.

Conducts and initiates spare parts review and cost analysis without sacrificing maintenance quality and equipment up time.

Reviews and controls the purchase of spare parts to be put on stock to prevent excessive inventory and to ensure its availability during equipment breakdown.

Promotes adherence to standard workmanship, policies, procedures, and specifications in the execution of function.

Coordinates with other departments in the implementation of new manufacturing process and procedures.

Actively involves in the review of new equipment, hardware and instruments purchases.

Actively participates in the design and conceptualization of new spares and production tools.

Interfaces with various suppliers and other ADI sites to acquire the needed resources and technical support.

Promotes 5S habits and adherence to EH&S safety procedures and use of safety equipment / Instruments.

Minimum Qualifications:

BS or MS degree in EE or ECE or equivalent relevant experience.

Minimum 3 years of experience in Equipment Engineering or Field Service Engineering

Strong analytical skills, ability to solve complex problems through design of appropriate experiments and analysis of complex data.

Self-motivated and driven to continually improve

Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
