• Supervise a team of staff and office administration.
• Supervises and co-ordinates the work of surveying in the production and reproduction of geographic products.
• Responsible for geographical information system for HDDM.
• Analyses and interprets data to design maps, graphs, plans, drawings and three-dimensional models using geographic information and related systems.
• Prepare, edits and revise maps, charts and drawings.
• Performs routine computations and plotting preliminary data.
• Translating technical documents into a drawing, evaluating technical design parameters, and working directly with engineers and other professionals.
• Evaluates, compiles and maintains spatial information using range of digital and graphical source materials, including aerial photographs, satellite imagery, survey documents, existing maps and records, historical data, reports and statistics.
• Archive plans, alignments, cross-sections and other data sets into file management systems

THINKING ENVIRONMENT & CHALLENGES (PROBLEM-SOLVING):

• Troubleshoot data issues and locate the source of error to correct.
• Maintain quality assurance procedures with regards to mapping.
• Ability to analyze data and situations and come up with creative solutions.
• Produce maps, diagrams, and profiles, using cross-sections and surveys, to represent elevations, topographical contours, subsurface formations, and structures.
• Ability to create maps, diagrams and profiles using Civil 3D design surfaces.
• Proficiency in Computer Aided Design (CAD), GIS tools, software and databases.

QUALIFICATION & WORK EXPERIENCE (KNOW-HOW):

• Possess a Geomatic/Engineering or related Degree.

Preference will be given to internal candidate.
