Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:Prepare detailed drawings/OMS of parts and assemblies, indicating dimensions, fastening methods, and other requirements to enable consistent assembly processes.RESPONSIBILITIES: * Creates and modifies detailed drawings from sketches, layouts or notes provided by engineering, using CAD & Graphics software.

• Contributes design modifications to facilitate manufacturing operation and quality of product.
• Works with engineers regarding model accuracy, drafting standards and DFA/DFM activities.
• Works with data management including file maintenance, backup, and storage.
• Maintains Bill of Materials and works with engineers regarding accuracy using spread sheet software.
• Updates drawings/OMS drafting tasks in ECO process.
• Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies and general duty of care.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have proven drafting and illustrating skills utilizing software packages such as graphics design tools, photo editing tools, document publishing tools, and drafting / solid modeling tools. Experience with SolidWorks and Adobe Illustrator is preferred.
• Must have organizational and problem solving skills.
• Ability to design fixtures for production.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to manage many projects at one time.
• Ability to be creative.
• Engineering skills.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of three years related experience.
• Basic \xe2\x80\x9cDrafting to ANSI Standards\xe2\x80\x9d class.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering / Computer Aided Drafting or equivalent.
