Job Description

:

Develop and validate injection molding processes for new and existing products. Optimize cycle times, material usage, and process parameters to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Conduct DOE (Design of Experiments) and root cause analysis for process-related issues. Collaborate with tool designers and vendors on new mold design, modification, and maintenance. Manage mold trials, sample runs, and process approvals. Ensure proper machine setup, calibration, and preventive maintenance schedules are followed. Ensure molded components meet dimensional and functional specifications. Support PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and other automotive quality requirements (IATF 16949, ISO/TS 16949). Monitor defect trends and implement corrective and preventive actions. Work closely with design, production, and quality teams to support new product launches. Provide technical training and support to production personnel. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen, Lean, and Six Sigma projects.

Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. Around 3 years of experience in injection molding,

preferably within the automotive industry.

Strong understanding of injection molding machines. Proficiency in process simulation software is an advantage. Familiarity with 5 quality standards: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA). Strong problem-solving, analytical, and

communication skills in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia
