Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare and review engineering designs, drawings, calculations, and specifications. Ensure designs comply with codes, standards, and local authority requirements. Assist in value engineering and proposing design improvements. Coordinate with architects, M&E engineers, geotechnical engineers, and other consultants. Assist in project scheduling, resource planning, and work sequencing. Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, authorities, and project stakeholders. Attend site/project meetings and provide technical input. Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or risks. Supervise day-to-day construction works to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications. Conduct site inspections for structural, earthworks, infrastructure, drainage, and utilities. Verify that materials and workmanship meet QA/QC requirements. Resolve technical issues on-site and recommend corrective measures. Prepare technical reports, inspection reports, meeting minutes, and progress updates. Review contractor submissions such as shop drawings, method statements, ITPs, and material approvals. Maintain proper documentation and ensure all project records are accurate and updated. Ensure site works comply with safety regulations, environmental requirements, and statutory guidelines. Participate in safety audits, toolbox meetings, and risk assessments. Liaise with local authorities on approvals, inspections, and compliance matters. Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures. Conduct tests, inspections, and verifications of materials and structural elements. Identify non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are taken. Provide engineering solutions to site problems or design discrepancies. Support project managers in technical evaluations and claims assessment. Assist in troubleshooting issues related to utilities, drainage, soil conditions, and structural concerns.

Requirement:

Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Fresh graduates or candidates with 1-3 years of experience in civil engineering or construction projects are encouraged to apply. Site inspection or supervision experience is an advantage. Proficient in AutoCAD (2020 and above) and familiar with engineering software such as Civil 3D, STAAD, MIDAS, MS Project, or similar tools. Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and contract documents. Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and site practices. Able to identify site issues and propose practical solutions while working under pressure and meeting project deadlines. Good communication skills with the ability to prepare basic reports and documentation. Works well independently and within a multidisciplinary team, with strong time management, reliability, and attention to detail. Willing to work on-site and travel as required. Safety-conscious, physically fit for outdoor work, adaptable to changing site conditions, and maintains a professional, positive attitude at all times.
